We are pleased and honored to announce that the finalists of the 2008 Janet B. McCabe Poetry Prize will be judged by award-winning poet, Luci Shaw. All entries will be read by a blind panel. The submission deadline for the prize is midnight of May 15th, 2008, and the entry fee is $15. $300 will be awarded to the winner and $150 to the runner-up. You may submit up to three poems per entry, and may submit multiple entries. Submission is a two step process: You must first pay the submission fee by selecting the "Pay Now" button below. A new window will open at the Paypal website where you can either pay by credit card (you do not need a Paypal account to do this) or with your Paypal account if you have one.

*Although we prefer online entries, you may also enter by mail. Just send your contest entry with a check made payable to Ruminate Magazine at 140 N. Roosevelt Ave., Fort Collins, CO 80521. Please make sure your entry is postmarked by May 15th, 2008. |
